MILLVILLE, NJ – Robert K. Marshall, formerly of Atlantic City Electric, has been named Executive Director of the New Jersey Energy Coalition, a broad-based advocacy group whose goal is to generate public support for the production and delivery of affordable, clean, reliable energy in New Jersey.
Marshall recently retired from Atlantic City Electric, Pepco Holding’s Southern New Jersey electric delivery subsidiary. During his 33-year career with the company, Marshall held several management positions, including Regional Vice President for Government and External Affairs.
“We are extremely pleased to have Bob take on the role as Executive Director of the NJ Energy Coalition” said Dr. Edward H. Salmon, Chairman of the Coalition. “It is exciting for our Coalition to have someone with his extensive background in the utility, energy and industry issues of New Jersey.
“Bob Marshall understands the important role that the energy industry plays in shaping our state’s economic and environmental health. It is great to have him on board,” added Richard Mroz, the Coalition’s Senior Advisor.
The NJ Energy Coalition’s membership includes businesses, industry, labor, civic organizations and educational and government groups. Its focus is to provide education and outreach that stresses the need for a broad energy platform in New Jersey.
Marshall’s business, professional and community affiliations include service on many nonprofit boards and trade groups. He currently serves as co-chair of the Southern New Jersey Development Council Energy and Environment Committee and as chair of the Leadership New Jersey Graduate Organization. Marshall is a graduate of Rowan University (B.A.) and Monmouth University (M.B.A).

The mission of the NJ Energy Coalition is to generate public support for the production and delivery of affordable, clean, reliable, American energy to help meet New Jersey’s growing energy needs. The Coalition seeks to achieve this goal through increasing the public’s awareness of the need to keep existing clean energy providers operational, to develop new affordable clean sources of in-state generation and to maintain a suitable transmission and distribution infrastructure for delivering electricity to our citizens.
